The world of custom trucks can be complicated. A builder can either improve upon a platform or completely destroy a good design. This 84′ K1500 is clearly one that has been tastefully customized. Clearly it started out life as a good truck. Benifitiing from a full restoration some welcomed modifications have been made in favor of drivability with some very fun modifications. The root beer paint is incredible and while we are not typically into pin striping the orange feels period correct.

Fully Restored 4×4 GMC High Sierra – freshly restored and ready to go. If you were lucky enough to have this truck in the 80’s the way this truck sits now was the dream. The best way to start a project like this is with good metal. This is a 4 owner Western truck that started life out in Nevada and by the mid 90’s it came to the high dry desert of Southern Idaho. Take a good look at the photos and video – this truck near perfect. Stunning really. Powered by a ’91 Chevy 350 V-8 mated to a 700R 4 Speed Automatic transmission. Transmission was overhauled with new bands, clutch and seals. Power steering, Power brakes, DISC up front and drum in the rears. AC is cold and functioning with updated fittings for modern freon. Transfer case is a 205 New process. Factory exhaust with two new catalytic converters in front of the dual Flow Master mufflers, no issue passing smog! Both diff’s have new 3.55 gears, rear end is a cooperate 1 ton 14 bolt. Over built for the 6″ lift and big tires. Speaking of which the wheels are color matched to the shocks and custom pin striping that will bring you right back to the era. Big tires – 37″ Goodrich doesn’t mean a bad ride thanks to the steering stabilizers and new front end. The paint is a flawless Root Beer with the previously mentioned painted on pin striping. The interior is all new and period correct. All gauges have been restored and even the clock works. New ’84 dash, new carpet and interior, headliner ext. This truck is amazing in all aspects. We appreciate the attention to detail that this truck has received. So many of these were driven hard and put away wet. Or they were the victim of a high schoolers project. Everything is just right on this truck. From the straight body lines, high quality suspension upgrades, flawless interior, and a well sorted engine compartment. This is quite the item.
