The Italians have struggled to produce an SUV rival to the American and British rigs but that hasn't stopped them from trying. Every collectable genera of automotive seems to play a constant battle of usability vs collectiabilty. In the 4x4 world this battle is just as present as any other. 4x4 rigs were typically used hard. In 2004 the SUV was the most exciting automotive market and this X5 was at the top of the list.
